Mohammad Ayatulla Rahaman is a youth leader, social activist, and the Founder and National Director of Nepal UNITES under Global Unites, a youth movement active in 20 countries. He has over 16 years of experience working in youth empowerment, peacebuilding, and social justice.
He was born into a Muslim family and raised in a Hindu household in Surkhet, Karnali Province, Nepal. Growing up in a multi-faith environment helped him develop respect for all religions and a strong belief in humanity, compassion, and inclusion.
Rahaman began his humanitarian journey with the Nepal Red Cross Society at an early age, becoming a lifetime member at 16 and a distinguished member by 19. These early experiences shaped his values of humanity, neutrality, and volunteer service.
Over the years, he has worked as a trainer and leader, supporting young people in areas like leadership, peace, conflict transformation gender equality, human rights, and community engagement. His influence extends beyond Nepal through active engagement in national and international youth initiatives, where he collaborates with global leaders and organizations.
He has also worked as a journalist in print, digital, and television media, raising community voices and promoting social change. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University.
Rahaman believes that young people have the power to create change today. He enjoys traveling and trekking and believes in spreading positivity through simple actions, like sharing a smile.
