International Volunteer Service Program 2025

The International Volunteer Service Program is scheduled to take place from July 1st to 15th, 2025. A group of sixteen young participants from the Office of International Affairs, National Chung Hsing University, and Taichung YMCA in Taiwan will be visiting Nepal. The Nepal Unites team will host them in Rajbiraj Municipality, located in the Saptari District of Madhesh Province.

During their stay in the village, participants will be fully immersed in the LESS Principles:

L – Live, listen, and learn from the people

E – Eat what ordinary people have for regular meals (no special menus)

S – Share life stories with host families

S – Embrace a simple lifestyle

The team will also engage in community and school-based service activities. These include teaching students through interactive games and distributing stationery materials.

This program fosters a worldview in which individuals coexist peacefully with nature, society, and themselves. It also offers an opportunity to appreciate and respect diverse ethnicities, cultures, and religions. As part of the experience, participants will explore and learn about the unique culture of Madhesh.
