Message from Gagan Singh Thakuri

Gagan Singh Thakuri is a passionate youth leader, development practitioner, and volleyball official from Simta-3, Surkhet, Karnali Province, Nepal. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and has dedicated his career to empowering young people, strengthening communities, and promoting inclusive development.

He is the Founder Secretary and current Chairperson of Jansandesh Youth Club, Simta, where he has led various community initiatives. He is also a Life Member of the Nepal Red Cross Society (Rakam Sub Chapter), the Founder Chairperson of the Youth NGO Federation, Karnali Province, and has worked with several national and international organizations on community development, local governance, youth leadership, and capacity-building programs. He has also served as the Chairperson of the Research Center for Sustainable Development, Surkhet, and continues to contribute to the Nepal Volleyball Association and Nepal Unites.

Throughout his journey, Gagan has received several awards and letters of appreciation from government bodies and sports organizations for his contributions to community development, local governance, and the promotion of volleyball. He is also a proud Lead International Kathmandu Graduate (2021).

Believing that every young person has the power to create change, Gagan continues to inspire others through his leadership, service, and commitment to building a more inclusive, empowered, and sustainable Nepal.
