Warm Clothes Distribution: Spreading Care

January 7, 2025 : As part of Nepal Unites’ Grassroots Movement’s Social Wellbeing Project, we successfully conducted a warm clothes distribution drive at Birateshwar Briddha Ashram Sewa Samiti in Ashok Chowk, Biratnagar-8, Morang, Koshi Province, Nepal. This initiative aimed to provide warmth and comfort to the elderly residents of the Ashram, ensuring their well-being during the harsh winter season.

A total of 72 senior citizens benefited from this project, including 37 men and 35 women. These elderly individuals, many of whom lack family support, often face difficulties in accessing basic necessities such as warm clothing during winter. Recognizing this need, Nepal Unites stepped forward to offer assistance and extend a message of compassion and solidarity.

The distribution event was not just about providing clothes; it was about fostering human connection, dignity, and care. Volunteers engaged with the residents, listened to their stories, and reassured them that they are valued members of our community. The smiles on their faces and the warmth in their gratitude reaffirmed our commitment to serving the vulnerable and strengthening social well-being.

Through initiatives like this, Nepal Unites continues to work towards creating an inclusive and compassionate society, where no one is left behind. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters, volunteers, and donors who made this initiative possible. Let’s keep the spirit of unity, love, and service alive as we move forward in our mission of empowering communities and fostering peace.
