Nepal Unites Kicks Off International Volunteer Program 2025 in Rajbiraj

Rajbiraj, Saptari | June 2025; Nepal Unites successfully conducted an orientation program for host families in Rajbiraj-01, Saptari District, ahead of the much-anticipated International Volunteer Service Program 2025, set to take place from July 1st to 15th. The orientation marked the beginning of a powerful exchange initiative that blends cultural immersion, and community service.

This year, the program welcomes sixteen dynamic youth participants from the Office of International Affairs at National Chung Hsing University and Taichung YMCA in Taiwan. The young international volunteers will be hosted by families in Rajbiraj Municipality, located ineastern part of Nepal.

The program offers a unique experience for participants to live with host families and embrace the LESS Principles: Live, Listen, and Learn from local people; Eat what ordinary families eat; Share personal stories; and simplify their lifestyle. By embracing local ways of life, listening with empathy, and participating in daily routines, the volunteers aim to deepen their understanding of Nepali culture and values.

During their two-week stay, the international volunteers will actively engage in a range of school and community-based activities. These include conducting interactive learning sessions, teaching through play and storytelling, and distributing essential stationery supplies to students.
